K&K's Action Anne Golden Sunrise -- "Sunrise"
together with new calf "Aurora"

Sunrise, our herd matron, is a perfectly trained milk cow. She is halter trained and experienced with hand, electric machine, and hand-powered machine milking. Sunrise is a good producer used to being milked just once daily. Although she has decreased from a 3-4 gallon producer on her second freshening to a 1 1/2 gallon producer as an older cow, we think that her current production is perfect for a homestead that wants to supply its own needs and to sell a small amount of milk. Although she is just mid-sized, she has long legs and high udder attachment, making her unusually easy to milk. Her pregnancies and births have been uneventful and she is a naturally good mother. She also gets along well either in a herd of cows or with just a single friend (sometimes a goat, sometimes a second cow). She enjoys contact with humans, cats, dogs, and chickens.
Missouri Sunrise's Aurora -- "Aurora"

Aurora is a beautiful mid-sized cow, approximately 45" tall at her hip. She is an experienced once-daily milker, and well-trained for hand or hand-powered machine milking in a stanchion, giving approximately 1 1/2 gallons in her first freshening. Her high udder attachment, good milk-production genes and her completely smooth first pregnancy and delivery all bode well for a good, long life as a family milk cow. She enjoys being fed treats by her human friends, and gets along well with her cow and goat friends.
Missouri Sunrise's Orion -- "Orion"

SOLD
Orion was born a beautiful little bull with a reddish fawn coat and a belt-shaped white patch on one side and a heart-shaped patch on the other. He has good milk-production genetics and is mild-tempered both with humans and other animals. Born at 23" at the end of October 2018, he was dam-raised and reached 31" at four months age, so we predicted then that he would mature to around 41". He was sold for breeding to Haven Heritage Farm.
